Weather Live is a beautifully designed app with real-time weather condition background images. It offers relatively detailed data for daily, hourly, and 7-day forecasts, but what makes this app stand out is the highly customizable display.

While the Windows Store may lack Amazing Weather HD or Appy Weather, there are some quality choices available in the Windows Store. We are pulling a few of the top rated weather apps from the Windows Store to spotlight in this roundup. We may have missed your favorite Windows 10 weather app and if that is the case, feel free to toss out your recommendation in the comments below.
MSN Weather
MSN Weather (formerly Bing Weather) may be the obvious choice for a Windows 10 weather app. The app has been around some time and has gone through a few renovations along the way with the app becoming a solid option weather resource.
The main display for MSN Weather offers you the current conditions of your forecast city, a ten-day extended forecast that can be broken down to an hourly track.
The menu bar that runs along the left side of the screen offers options to view weather maps, historical weather data, view your places, check out the weather news and send feedback to Microsoft. The animated weather maps offer layers to display the current radar observation, radar forecast, precipitation values, satellite coverage and cloud coverage.

Settings for MSN Weather include options for temperature values (Fahrenheit or Celsius) and which location should be used when the app launches. Additionally, MSN Weather has Live Tile support for your Windows 10 Start Menu and a collection of nicely illustrated weather wallpapers.
The Weather Channel
The Weather Channel has been a leader in weather information for years and their Windows 10 app strives to offer you the best radar, local forecasts and weather news available.
The Windows 10 version of The Weather Channel app is very similar to the Windows Phone version with your local conditions greeting you when the app is launched. Where the Windows Phone app relies on vertical scrolling and a bottom navigation bar to access all of the features, the Windows 10 version relies on horizontal scrolling and a side menu bar.
Along with your current conditions, additional features for The Weather Channel include:
Manga reading app for mac. Settings for The Weather Channel include options to choose your units of measurements, rainfall alerts and severe weather alerts. Blue stacks mac app. The Weather Channel also has Live Tile support for your Windows 10 menus.
MyRadar Weather Radar
Along with being able to keep up with your local forecasts, a solid weather radar app can keep you informed of the potential for severe weather or how much more time you have for those outdoor activities. The first Windows 10 weather radar app that shows up on our radar is MyRadar Weather Radar.
The app centers around the U.S. map with key features that include:
While MyRadar Weather Radar's map can be scrolled to view other countries, the app currently only shows weather imagery for the United States. While the coverage is not global, MyRadar Weather Radar comes across as a solid Windows 10 weather app.
Weather Now 8.1
Weather Now 8.1 is a simple and easy solution to view current conditions and extended forecasts for global locations. The Windows 10 weather app does not have many bells and whistles but does a nice job of delivering the basic weather information to your laptop, tablet or desktop.
The interface isn't very complicated. Enter the location you want to view the weather information for and the app will deliver the current conditions and a seven-day forecast. The weather information includes the high/low/current temperatures, expected conditions (rain, sun, snow, storms, etc.) wind speeds and humidity.
The current day's forecast is broken down periodically throughout the date and you can tap on an extended forecast date to view that information full screen.
Again, there is not much to Weather Now 8.1. The app does pull in a 4 Star rating in the Windows Store and while I like a little more meat on the bone with my weather apps, I can see the appeal.
AccuWeather
AccuWeather is another leader in providing weather news, information and forecasts. While many will be familiar with AccuWeather's Windows Phone app, there is also an app available for Windows 10.
Weather App For Mac Light Footprints
Along with support for twenty-seven languages, a quick look at current conditions and a five-day extended forecast some of the key features for AccuWeather include:
While I do like the AccuWeather Windows Phone app, the Windows version needs a little renovation. Where MSN Weather and The Weather Channel have their menu options laid out nicely along the side of the screen, AccuWeather relies on the hidden hamburger menu. It's not a critical issue but moving around the weather app felt a little cumbersome.
Nonetheless, AccuWeather is a popular app to consider. It is a free, ad-supported offering.
NOAA Hi-Def Radar - Weather Forecast and Maps
While MyRadar is a solid option to consider, if you want a little more zip in your weather radar app consider NOAA Hi-Def Radar - Weather Forecast and Maps. It's one of our favorite Windows Phone apps and does a great job of things from a Windows 10 device as well.
The weather app is the only app that automatically augments land-based radar images with the latest images from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) satellites that cover the Atlantic/Pacific oceans into a single screen. The result is a weather map that not only shows what is going on over dry land but also what is drifting around just of the coast.
Some of NOAA Hi-Def Radar's key features include:
In addition to the weather radar imagery, NOAA Hi-Def Radar also has the ability to pull up local forecast data. The information is somewhat brief but includes your current conditions, sunrise/sunset times and a five-day forecast.
Photo booth app for mac. I don't know if I would recommend NOAA Hi-Def Radar - Weather Forecast and Maps as your main Windows 10 weather app but it does make for a solid supplemental when you need a better picture of the weather radar picture. NOAA Hi-Def Radar may not be a freebie in the Windows Store but keep in mind it is a universal app and once you buy the Windows version, you own the Windows Phone version as well.
Please note that NOAA Hi-Def Radar currently only provides coverage for the United States and the territories of Puerto Rico and Guam. Coverage only includes the southern coastal areas of Alaska. Additionally, the developer notes that very high altitude locations may have issues due to the terrain interfering with the radar beams.

If you know about NEXRAD radar or understand what a Correlation Coefficient is, you will consider RadarScope to be money well spent.
Hurricane by American Red Cross
The Red Cross has a series of disaster preparedness apps that cover forces of nature as earthquakes, tornadoes, and wildfires. The Hurricane app is great for those living in places prone to hurricanes, or for people with loved ones living in the range of those areas. It doesn't tell you what the current temperature is, but it will alert you when a hurricane or high-wind storm is headed your way. It also has a very useful toolkit that can activate a flashlight or strobe light on your device, sound a loud alarm to signal your location, and send an automatic text message to loved ones that you are safe. It has direct connectivity to the NOAA weather radio reports and extensive information on what to do to prepare for a hurricane, as well as what to do when one hits and how to deal with the aftermath.
If you or a loved one live in a hurricane-prone area, Hurricane by American Red Cross will keep you informed on dangerous weather conditions.
The Weather Channel
The Weather Channel, while still providing a simplified interface, brings a few additional details to the weather-watching party. You'll get the daily, hourly, and 15-day forecast, as well as wind speed, humidity, and UV index. Plus, find out the weather-related road conditions and watch forecast videos for your area. ![]() Dark Sky
Dark Sky made a name for itself in the weather app category for its precise accuracy at predicting weather changes up-to-the-minute. The app was built using forecast.io and provides a detailed 24-hour outlook, as well as a 7-day forecast. The precipitation and temperature global map let you drag your finger through time to see when storms will arrive or how much time you have until the day turns hot. If there is any chance of rain, snow, or a storm headed your way, Dark Sky will let you know how soon it will arrive. It's so specific that you can figure out if you should take that 10-minute walk, especially if the app says rain won't fall for 20 minutes. You can even report the conditions in the sky from within the app for a more accurate assessment.
If you like knowing exactly how to dress when you walk out of the door at any time of the day, Dark Sky will let you know how soon you'll need that umbrella.
WeatherBug
For people that suffer from allergies, WeatherBug is a great source of news on the subject. In addition to providing daily, hourly, and 10-day forecasts, it details the pollen index for the day, including which allergy triggers are predominant. It also has a fantastic connected-home feature that lets you connect your Nest, Honeywell, or SmartThings hub for a detailed analysis of your energy consumption. Even if you don't have a connected thermostat, you can figure your daily costs based on weather conditions, average electricity and gas costs, and what your HVAC is set to.
If you are concerned with your household's energy consumption, especially if you have a connected-home smart hub, get WeatherBug.
Weather Underground
The Weather Underground has a very personalized interface in a number of ways. For example, the data is generated and uploaded by nearly 200,000 personal weather stations run by weather enthusiasts. You can also report on your local sky conditions as well as hazards like power outages or flash floods from inside the app. The detail cards are customizable — you live in an area that rarely sees hurricanes or tropical storms, you can remove that card from your list, for example. Some additional cool features include a real-time report from the station closest to your location and user-submitted photos of weather conditions in your area and around the globe.
If you are a bit of a weather geek and like to stay informed on all manner of data, check out the Weather Underground.
CARROT Weather
CARROT brings you the weather, but with a spiteful twist. Cast as a human-hating artificial intelligence, with such comments as 'I hope you get a sunburn,' and 'Your heating bill is going to bankrupt you,' you'll always get a laugh out of your CARROT weather report. Plus, the more you use CARROT Weather, the more you will unlock secret locations, like Mount Doom and a certain Outer Rim Moisture Farm. Did I mention that Carrot can now appear right in your living room thanks to AR? Don't tap its ocular sensor or you might regret it.
Download word onto mac free. If you have a sense of humor about all this weather talk, CARROT will make you smile (and laugh a lot).
Weather Live
Weather Live is a beautifully designed app with real-time weather condition background images. It offers relatively detailed data for daily, hourly, and 7-day forecasts, but what makes this app stand out is the highly customizable display. You can choose from four different layouts, each providing simple or complex details. You can also set which data is displayed in which order for each layout. So, if you live somewhere with a lot of rainfall, you may want the precipitation parameter on top. If you like to watch the sunset, put that time higher up in your layout. Plus, every morning, you'll get a daily report notification with the current condition and its relativity to yesterday's weather.
If you have an eye for design, but also want the ability to customize how you view your weather data, you'll be pleased with Weather Live.
